Villamartin is situated 3km off the coast and 10km from Torrevieja in the southern Costa Blanca. It is best known for its fabulous golf course which has become one of the most popular courses in the area. The Villamartin development began in 1972 and has evolved into a splendid Mediterranean village of 1500 apartments, townhouses and villas with two excellent 18 hole courses at its heart, including the original Club de Golf Villamartin and the new Las Ramblas de Orihuela. There is also a central square with a bank, supermarket, shops, cafes and restaurants. Alicante airport is 40 minutes drive and the splendid beaches of La Zenia, Campoamor and Cabo Roig are all approximately 5 minutes away by car.
