Denia

Denia is a delightful cosmopolitan town located north of the province of Alicante. The town sits at the foot of a hill crowned by a castle, originally built by the Moors and rebuilt by the French in the early 19^th century.  Denia is right on the coast and has 20km of beaches with a good variety of restaurants and bars by the sea. Denia almost has the feel of a city, it has a real Spanish feel and is a true working town. Infrastructure is excellent here with a modern hospital, train links to major towns and a large port from where the ferry to Ibiza departs. The town is protected by the huge Montgó mountain said to resemble a sleeping elephant.
