Cuevas del Almanzora

Cuevas del Almanzora is one of the oldest towns in the province of Almeria , a town full of character and history, slightly inland, but close to both Mojacar and Vera. The name comes from the artificial caves that can be found in the nearby hills. Miners inhabited these caves in the 19th century when silver was first discovered. There are three golf courses in close vicinity, the Valle del Este, Marina Golf and Desert Springs. The beach at Vera Playa is just a fifteen minute drive.
